You are aware of the importance of climate action but do not know how to help? This page is for you!

Whether you are a student, a journalist, or an aware citizen, I will provide you with resources to improve your understanding of the climate movement and, most importantly, on enacting climate policies.

Podcasts

Race Against Climate Change goes deep down into Canada's Net Zero plan. It underlines where we are and where we shall go regarding climate policies.

Invested in Climate is my personal favourite. We tend to focus so much on the policies that we forget that the private and nonprofit sectors will do the bulk of the energy transition. It put forth inspiring entrepreneurs along their business model.

Today we learn (TIL) about climate breakdown climate science and the technology we need to archive net zero. The podcast receives world-renowned researchers and, despite the inherent complexity of our world, the podcast is a lovely 15 minutes, thanks to the host vulgarizing skills.

Newspapers

The National Observer is a must if you want to know what's happening in Canadian climate politics.

I highly recommend this insightful piece as it gives hope, yet, remain realistic. Solution-wise, this three-part series examining the speed, challenges and the politics of the energy transition is GREAT.

Surprisingly, Climate Capital from the Financial Times may arguably be the best source for information on the energy transition

Books

The Ministry for the Future is a beautiful book. If you seek a life purpose, this book will gives you one. The book's essence gives hope and draws a path forward on how we can solve climate change.

This Changes Everything explains Klein's thought journey and why she is now fighting against the climate crisis. It is a wonderful generalist book that will equip the brain with a grand narrative of why we are not acting and what we should do.

L’équilibre énergétique de Pierre-Olivier Pineau, est le parfait livre pour s'initié et acquérir la connaissance d'un expert, et ce, en 200 pages.

Ce livre est simple, concis, et exact à la fois devrait être lu par tous.

Getting Involved

Knowledge is one thing, but enacting action requires more than understanding the physiological and socio-economical challenges of climate change.

It requires actions—social movements, to be more exact.

Climatebase is an outstanding climate job catalyzer. From the very technical engineering side to journalism.

Student Energy provides students with the project and puts them hands-on with the renewable energy challenge of our era. It is a fabulous extracurricular affair that will make you interact with like-minded folk and, most likely, obtain a well-paid job aligned with your values.

Re_Generation is students and young professionals leading an organization that works towards building a Canadian community to enact climate action. They provide training, a slack community and perform policy advocacy.

Advocacy

Climate Action Network gathers more than 140 leading Canadian NGOs working for action on climate change. Its the perfect place to take a look if you want to get involved according to your values.

Climate Citizen Lobby is the world's most influential climate organization. An excellent muscle power demonstration is the 200 000 calls they performed amid the Inflation Reduction Act.

Supporting NGOs

As a board member of Équiterre I am slightly bias but I think it's the most influent NGO to enact climate action in Canada.

Fun fact : the current environmental minister of Canada is Équiterre's cofounder.

Ecojustice is an outstanding law firms which sue governments du to their inaction. They are the best.

Fun fact : they are suing the environmental minister of Canada with Équiterre because of North Bay.

Giving Green advises people on how to fight climate change with their donations in the most evidence-based way possible.

They are part of Effective Altruism, a growing movement that do charity effectively. Take a look a this article or this TED talk to learn more.
